Summer Activities

Hiking

Hiking

Peek at wildflowers in Park City's meadows as you stroll, walk, or hike the hundreds of miles of trails. Craft a hike with trails for the whole family or ones catering to a vigorous day outdoors. Certain trails invite dogs along for the day while others are for two-feet only. Take advantage of Park City's Transit to Trails Program from Thursday to Sunday that helps to ease congestion.

Fly Fishing

Fly Fishing

When the spring thaw bolsters up the Park City rivers and streams, the melt brings fly fishing to life. The Provo and Weber Rivers serve up blue ribbon fishing. Go off river to the Jordanelle, Rockport, Strawberry, and Echo Reservoirs for well-stocked pickings. Nearby fishing and tackle shops have you suited up and ready to cast your line.

Golfing

Golfing

Seven public and eight private courses mean teeing off around Park City has something for every golfer. Best of all? The altitude makes the balls soar further. Stunning mountain views of the Wasatch Mountains frame most courses and cooler summer temps make play that much more enjoyable.

Water Activities

Water Activities

The Provo and Weber Rivers mean serious fun for kayakers, white water rafters, and tubers. Guided river tours range from a few hours to full-day adventures. Experienced rafters can rent equipment and set out. Relax and ride the tubes for a more leisurely river day. Kayakers, stand-up paddleboarders, and jet skiers can also explore water adventures with tours, trips, or solo excursions.

Biking

Biking

With one of the stages in the Tour of Utah and the only IMBA (International Mountain Bike Association) Gold-Level Ride Center in North America, Park City has cemented itself as a top-tier mountain biking destination. Not every trail is intense, with miles of country roads to explore, mountain terrain, or rides around downtown Park City. The Summit County Pathway Systems offers riders paved and soft surfaces to explore as well as signs indicating route times between stops. Bike shops offer rentals and service for any chosen ride.

Horseback Riding

Horseback Riding

Saddle up to see Park City from one of the best views: on horseback. Schedule guided trail rides to trot in wildflower-dotted meadows. Wooded trail rides let you explore the mountains. Authentic Western riding excursions let you feel a bit of the Old West during your stay. Different companies tailor the experiences from beginners to advanced riders, so choose the ride best for your needs.

Alpine Slide, Coaster, and Zipline Tours

Alpine Slide, Coaster, and Zipline Tours

Dream of being in the Olympics? Get close when you soar down the 2002 games' bobsled, luge, and skeleton track at Comet Bobsled. Professional bobsledders lead the charge as you sail down the track. Soar through the trees on Park City Alpine Coaster's more than one mile of loops that reach speeds up to 25 mph. Round out the adventure as you take to the skies ziplining through the trees.

Hot Air Balloon Rides

Hot Air Balloon Rides

Passengers can enjoy stunning views of the Kamas Valley and Wasatch Mountains' surrounding valleys and forests. Rise with the sun when you ascend thousands of feet above Park City or book a later time to take in the area's natural splendor. Many companies offer year-round, private rides with multiple options to customize your experience.
